The Visitor Risk Management programme consists of workstreams including the AdventureSmart (New Zealand) website, the Safety Codes (Outdoor, Water and Boating) and the New Zealand Outdoors Intentions process.
The programme is funded by New Zealand Search & Rescue Council (NZSAR Council). The Council comprises the Chief Executives, or their designated representative, of the organisations: Civil Aviation Authority, Department of Conservation, Maritime New Zealand, New Zealand Police, Ministry of Transport and New Zealand Defence Force) and the New Zealand Mountain Safety Council.
