Cycling

There are plenty of great places to go cycling in New Zealand with plenty of tracks and trails to choose from. Fantastic scenery and plenty of opportunities to get some exercise while you're at it. From easy family rides along purpose built riverside trails to hamstring burning hills for those inspired by the Tour de France, there is something for everyone.

It's easy to hire cycles in New Zealand but do ensure you are aware of the road rules if travelling on all or part way by public roads. If using a public road it is New Zealand law to wear a helmet and have lights (for riding in darkness) and highly recommended to wear a helmet on a trail anyway.

Make sure you use the Outdoor Safety Code as a guide for essential preparation, complete your Outdoors Intentions, use the links below and have a great time.
